JusticeMatters provides preventive and restorative legal services that protect children and help survivors of human trafficking and other traumas rebuild their lives. We also work for systemic solutions statewide, promoting just policies and practices through advocacy, training, and leadership to address the roots and repercussions of human trafficking in North Carolina.
JusticeMatters is grateful for the many volunteers that have and are currently serving as part of the team. Due to the highly sensitive and confidential nature of our work, many volunteer positions necessitate specialized training.
We have an urgent, ongoing need for volunteer attorneys and law students, especially in the areas of humanitarian law, family law and other civil matters (such as landlord/tenant, consumer debt, housing/foreclosure, SSI/SSD, wills/estates).
In addition, we need volunteer interpreters, for numerous languages, with certain experience and expertise and, with the opening of the Raleigh office, we currently have several volunteer needs including administrative support.
Please visit the “Get Involved” tab on our website or contact Charissa Gray at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss whether your gifts match our current needs.
