In imitation of our Lord, we value the littlest members of our congregation and consider them no less than adults in God’s kingdom! At Holy Trinity Anglican, we are committed to creating space for your children to meet with God, as well as desire to enthusiastically support and encourage parents as they raise their children to love and honor Christ!

Trinity Kids Summer Camp 2024

Trinity Kids Summer Camp is a five day camp for children 2 years old through 5th grade. This year, we have a week full of fun based on a specific theme to help kids learn God’s Word. Kids will enjoy a week filled with games, songs, crafts, snacks, and a number of fun surprises!

THE GREAT JUNGLE JOURNEY

When: Mornings of July 22-26, 9am-12pm
Where: Holy Trinity Anglican Church
Who: 2 year olds through 5th graders

Our Summer Camp theme for this year is The Great Jungle Journey! At The Great Jungle Journey, your kids will set off on an epic adventure from Genesis to Revelation. Amid sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, your children will sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven ports of call. These ports are the 7 C’s of history: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Kids will discover how these events shape our world, and they will learn to reconnect the Bible to their everyday life.

The Summer Camp experience costs $150 for one child. The fee for additional children is $100. Half of your total payment is due when you register and the second half of your payment is due by April 30 when registration closes. We will follow up closer to the camp dates with consent forms and options for paying your balance. Included in the cost of the camp, your child will receive a t-shirt, snacks, and a bag filled with treasures from the week we’ve had together.

Additionally, there are scholarship opportunities available. If you’re interested in a scholarship, please select the “I’d like to be considered for a scholarship” option in the Deposit Payment field when completing the registration form. Someone will follow up with you directly about scholarship options.

This is a great opportunity for adults and older students to serve! If you have any questions about camp or scholarship information, please reach out to Rachel Sanders at rsanders@htcraleigh.org.

TRINITY KIDS | YOUNG CHILDREN’S WING

We offer excellent childcare, Bible lessons and a time of worship for Holy Trinity’s youngest at both the 9am and 11am services. We use a combination of staff, volunteers and paid sitters to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in our care.

Parents of children entering this wing will be asked to complete a short, health-related intake form. Additionally, parents are encouraged to bring a labeled diaper bag, sippy cup, or bottle. Parents should note, the Young Children’s wing is a nut free zone. Please take this into consideration when deciding what to bring in your child’s diaper bag.

As you enter the church building through the courtyard doors, turn left to be welcomed by one of our young children’s greeters. We can’t wait to get to know your family!

TRINITY KIDS | WORSHIP

Trinity Kids, grades K-5, are worshiping together on the second floor in the Trinity Kids classroom at both the 9am and 11am services! Children will start their morning in the sanctuary with their families and then are invited, just prior to the sermon, to Kid’s Worship with a trained and vetted Kids’ Ministry leadership team. These leaders are excited to open God’s Word and delve into Biblical learning designed especially for kids! If a child remains in the service, we have 2 tables just for kids located in the lobby that is stocked with Bibles, books and other age-appropriate materials to be borrowed during the service. Children will return to their families just prior to the celebration of Communion.

Digital Check-In for All Trinity Kids (infants through 5th grade)

All children (infants – 5th graders) are required to check-in when they arrive to church on Sundays before going into the worship service. As you enter the church building through the courtyard doors, turn left to be welcomed by one of our young children’s greeters, who can assist you through check in!

Parents of infants through pre-school: hold on to your printed receipt and bring it when you come to pick up your child at check out.

Parents of elementary aged parents: make sure your child wears his/her printed nametag as their “ticket” to enter Trinity Kids Worship when it is time for them to go upstairs during the service. Please place the sticker on your child’s chest so Trinity Kids leaders can easily see that each child has checked-in.

TRINITY KIDS | SAFETY

We take child safety very seriously at Holy Trinity Anglican. Everyone on our Trinity Kids Team is carefully screened (to include a background and reference check) trained and interviewed before joining the team. Everyone serving in both Kids and Student ministries, as well as Holy Trinity’s staff and Vestry, are required to attend our Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training once every two years. Additionally, Our Young Children’s (nursery and preschool) classrooms are located in a locked wing that is monitored by our trained and vetted team of staff, volunteers, and paid sitters. All our Kids ministry programming, to include activities, are structured to adhere to our Family Ministry safety policies to ensure kids are safe at all times.

HOW YOU CAN SERVE

We believe that teaching and walking alongside children during their faith journey is one of the most important jobs in the church. When a child is baptized, we all agree to support the child and their family in their spiritual walk. For some, that means keeping the children within the Church in their prayers, for others it means serving in Kids Ministry in some way. We have an amazing, intergenerational team of godly men and women who invest in the kids they serve on a regular basis. Here are some examples of how you might serve if you feel you are called to join the Trinity Kids Team:

Kids’ Worship Leader – if God has given you a passion for teaching God’s Word and a love for children, this could be a great fit for you! Most teachers serve one service once a month, teaching in Trinity Kids Worship (during the sermon & prayers). The curriculum is provided, but teachers have some flexibility and creativity in their choice for activities and discussion questions.

Young Children’s Wing Leader –  our 2 & 3 year olds, as well as our 4 & 5 year olds each have their own room and their own lesson each Sunday. Our Young Children’s Wing Leaders use the lessons and crafts provided to give Holy Trinity’s youngest a firm foundation of God’s Word every week. Whether holding a baby in the infant room, assisting teachers, leading songs, or teaching the lesson in one of the classrooms, these leaders show a deep love for God and our children at Holy Trinity. Young Children’s Wing Leaders range in age from middle school to the oldest of our congregation and every age in between.

Greeting Team – this extremely important team supports the Young Children’s Wing during check in and checkout. The Greeting Team helps greet families as they arrive, ensures children are placed in the appropriate classroom, assists new families with the First Time Guest Form, and ensures each child goes home with their parent or guardian by receiving pickup receipts from each adult before bringing them their child. This team crosses generations and provides an invaluable layer of safety and relationship-building.

Serving in Trinity Kids

We take the safety of our children very seriously, so the process to join the team is a bit more rigorous than other ministry positions in the church. Here are the steps you’ll need to complete in order to serve:

Step 1: Attend the church for at least 6 months.

Step 2: Email Rachel to schedule an in-person interview.

Step 3: Fill out the Trinity Children and Student Application Packet.

Step 4: Complete Holy Trinity Anglican’s training for the prevention of child sexual abuse.

Step 5: Meet with Rachel for teacher training.

Please pray about the opportunity to serve in these vital ministries.  We can’t do it without people like you!
